In SCUC ISD 19 teachers and 18 support staff were terminated for the 2011-2012 school year but that's only half the story because with our districts growth we should have hired about that many more teachers and couldn't. That means we're down almost 40 teachers which has lead to classrooms with 37-39 students in them. That's not an environment where real learning takes place and we know it.
